The bitcoin was born in 2009 and it has become the official internet currency.

It is called bitcoin or coin made of bits, totally digital and can be kept in electronic wallets on your PC, Smartphone, or they can be deposited on an online account.

On August 20th, 2013, Germany officially recognized the bitcoin as the currency for transactions between private parties. The German Fidor Bank was the first bank that accepted the bitcoin at the bank counter.

In October of the same year, the first ATM that gave bitcoins in exchange for traditional currency and vice versa was born in Vancouver, Canada.

In China, by the end of November 2013, the bitcoin was traded more then the euro.
